Food Pantry

Food Donations

While we whole heartedly support Renfrewshire Foodbank, during the Covid-19 pandemic we also developed our own small Food Larder. We are happy to provide regular or one-off access to this to anyone in need.

We appreciate donations, including items which are halal or vegetarian. We would suggest items that do not need a can opener (ring pull tins) and foods that are of use to people who do not have access to cooking equipment or even hot water are also often of great benefit. Essential non-food items are also of value such as toiletries and hygiene products.

Other venues to access food in an emergency are
Renfrewshire Foodbank  |  STAR Project Community Fridge& Pantry  | Community Fridge at RSA 27B Moss Street, PAISLEY PA1 1DJ

The following items make up a typical food parcel, which means that they are the best items to donate:

  • Cereal
  • Soup
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Tinned tomatoes/ pasta sauce
  • Lentils, beans and pulses
  • Tinned meat
  • Tinned vegetables
  • Tea/coffee
  • Tinned fruit
  • Biscuits
  • UHT milk
  • Fruit juice

If you live a distance away from the church but still wish to donate food please check for your nearest Foodbank.
