Prayer Group
Individually we learn that prayer is important for our
personal relationship with God, but we also have meetings devoted to prayer,
when we will focus on requests that we have been given. We also pray when
opening and ending each service, during our times of worship, and when we take
Communion.
Soaking
Around Easter 2007, the Lord made it plain to us that He wanted Soaking to become part of our ongoing relationship with Him in Mossvale.
What is Soaking? It is a new word to describe what Scripture speaks of many times [Psalm 37:7 and Matthew 11:28-30] waiting on The Lord or resting in Him. It is a time of being still in His Presence – a time of receiving His goodness and love, a time of being refreshed and strengthened. Practically this means we come to Church carrying our blankets and pillows [a funny sight no doubt]! Beautiful gentle music is playing and we simply lie down or sit and relax in The Lord’s Presence, opening our hearts to Him. He has never failed to turn up and bless us in many ways – pouring out His love and peace and joy and often speaking directly to us. |
