Pastor Hugh Chalk

Hugh Chalk was ordained in 1994, and became full time Pastor in 2003. Growing up in Mossvale Church, he led worship, taught Sunday School and was Youth Pastor for many years. Hugh has been involved in short term missions in Romania & Alaska, but his heart has always been for his home town. For many years he was a director of the STAR Project, a joint church and community venture, offering many resources through its drop-in centre for local residents; and in recent years has taken up the role of chaplain for St Mirren FC.

Gail Chalk has been employed in both health and social care, from hospices to her current job with Deaf Blind Scotland. She works within the Women’s Groups and Ministry Team.

Hugh and Gail have been married for 14 years and have three sons.

Pastor Robert Chalk

Robert Chalk is our founding Pastor, with a lifetime of experience of preaching and teaching, both in Scotland, Eastern Europe and Africa, as well as the USA, where two of his children Jeanne and Martin are now Pastors. For many years he taught weekly at Teen Challenge's local Centre.

Jeanne’s door has been opened to hundreds over the years, with many people finding a place of safety and acceptance, a home or a base for a time. Although retired from full time Pastoral work, Robert still preaches regularly, and he and Jeanne form an important part of our Management and Ministry Teams.

Robert and Jeanne have four children and eleven grandchildren.
